Doanne Ward-Williams, M.Ed., CCC-SLP is a bilingual speech language pathologist licensed by the State of North Carolina and received her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.  She is the owner of TheraPlay Bilingual Solutions, LLC where she works with English and Spanish-speaking children with a variety of developmental delays and disorders.  Doanne enjoys the opportunity to encourage parents to take an active role in their child's treatment and empowers them with the knowledge needed to advocate for their family.  She has a B.A in Psychology with a Minor in Spanish and Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a M.Ed. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from North Carolina Central University.  She is involved in several professional organizations and is passionate about her work.  She is Hanen certified and a Fast ForWord Provider.  She is a member of the American Academy of Private Practice in Speech Pathology & Audiology, the North Carolina Speech, Hearing, and Language Association, a past Convention Co-Chair for the National Black Association for Speech-Language and Hearing, and has served on several committees/boards for the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, including the Political Action Committee.  She currently serves on the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association's Government Relations & Public Policy Board.  She has received several awards including the National Pan-Hellenic Council of Greater Raleigh's Gus Witherspoon Business Award, North Carolina Central University's 40 Under 40 Alumni Award, and the American Speech-Langauge-Hearing Association's Leading the Way Award. 

 

In her free time, she enjoys serving her community as a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., yoga, running, and spending time with her husband and two children.
